DTX is an established civil engineering business providing traditional construction services including groundwork’s that operates throughout the UK predominantly North West of England.
The company was awarded a substantial groundwork’s contract with Scottish Power and were looking for additional working capital funding to support the growth within the company.
Their existing High Street Bank had turned them down despite having a strong balance sheet.

KL is a long established Dental Practice in the South East.
Following the recession their bank pulled the plug and caused the
directors a lot of personal hardship that meant their credit rating was severely impaired.
The bank was found to be negligent and settled a £1m claim. However, it meant the directors had to re-bank which was extremely difficult as well as raise additional funds to repay the bank.

Quirky were able to handle the complete operation & successfully sourced conventional funding to complete the operation.

KMO is a long established Restaurant / Bistro Café business in the heart of
Liverpool.
It had been a Partnership for many years with the majority partner having a passing interest in the day to day running; however, he wanted to leave.
The remaining partner wanted to acquire 100% of the business including the property from which the business operated.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT
The accounts for the business were not particularly beneficial to raise the sum of £370k, as they were modest to say the least.
Quirky Finance were able to restructure the proposal by working with their existing accountant’s to bring the current financial information up to date; we also produced new business forecasts for the lenders we selected who ultimately supported the funding required.
We also through an IFA intermediary reviewed all the key Insurance products to the extent that we were able to bring significant savings to the existing expenditure that KMO was paying out.
HW is a well-known Architect based in the West Midlands. He is also a prominent person in the local business community.
He had been offered a Property Development site that was in a sought after area of the town. His own bank (RBS) had declined his request to develop this site which would potentially produce a very attractive return on capital invested.

Through our extensive range of contacts, we were able to source Development
Finance of £1.2 million against an end Development Value of £1.7 million.
